Clare Thompson

Clare Thompson specialises in the financial services industry and over the years has acted as auditor and adviser to a number of large retail financial services groups. She is also a member of the Assurance Executive team with responsibility for people – 300 partners and 5000 staff with particular focus on talent development and career planning. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979 and was admitted to partnership in 1988.
Clare has been responsible for the audit of various charities including Wellcome Trust and The Prince’s Trust. She was also until recently a member of the finance committee of The British Red Cross.
She is married with two children in their 20s. Interests are sailing and ski-ing – she and David try and spend weekends at their Norfolk holiday home whenever possible.
