ADIDAS WOMEN'S CHALLENGE - 7 September 2008

Leigh Cousins with her sonAfter completing the challenge in 2008 running alongside Philippa and Jane from Autism Speaks, Leigh Cousins said:
Whilst I cannot speak for Phillippa or Jane (but I'm sure they'll agree), we had a really good day, enjoying both the occasion and the run!! I think we all deserve a pat on the back for getting up at ridiculous o'clock on a Sunday morning for a 5km jog around the park. I would also like to take this opportunity in stressing that this is an ideal venue to promote the charity as there was large media presence and it is televised nationally. It is easily attainable for the majority of society members and supporters of the campaign alike. For 2008, it would be pleasing to see a larger participation of women running on behalf of the AS team, and additional supporters "flying the flag".
